Redesign the user experience of Ballard’s reservation portal. Create a more user friendly approach in the design of the application and thus help with Ballard’s online conversion rates when reserving some of the services Ballard’s has to offer, such as a private Cabana.
The end result was successful, the idea was passed off to Ballard’s after reviewing with BDC team, their next steps would be to develop this out through BDC to implement it in their day to day operations.
The initial approach when it came to redesigning the UX of their booking application was to go with a less is more mentality. Remove the clutter and make it very direct and simple for the user. Using Adobe XD to simulate the user journey and Ai to flesh out the overall design the road to bringing a fresh concept to Ballard’s was clear.
Design a website that features an event or call to action that encourages the user to want to engage in the real-life event through an effective & simple marketing strategy presented through the micro-site. The Rolling Stone’s Bandemic Warp Tour is the embodiment of what being in your youth is all about.
Concept was rooted in the idea of putting on a live music event where collective artists from different genres would perform post pandemic that was organized by the Rolling Stones. Wire-frames & testing occurred in Adobe XD & later coded into a working site. The theme is within the name of the festival “Bandemic”, hence we need to band together afterwards together over music and festivities.
This site has very simple navigation and is completed functional via Javascript and JQuery with a concrete foundation in both HTML and Sass. This site was a success with the simplistic and edgy branding.
